CHICAGO – The American Association of Endodontists is excited to announce that it’s won a Gold-level TRENDY Award for “Best Direct Marketing Piece/Promotion” for its AAE23: A Recipe for Success annual meeting mailer.
The mailer was shaped like a deep-dish pizza to drum up excitement for the May 2023 meeting in Chicago, the association’s hometown. The mailer was included in hard copies of the Journal of Endodontics that were delivered to members prior to the meeting.
The TRENDY Awards honors the best and most unique communications and marketing pieces.
AAE Marketing and Communications staff members Kim FitzSimmons (chief marketing and communications officer), Natalie Hughes (integrated marketing manager) and Jacqueline Peiffer (marketing content and production specialist) represented the AAE at the 2024 Salute to Association Excellence on Feb. 27, 2024, in Washington DC, presented by Association TRENDS.
“This is a great example of the creativity our marketing team is capable of,” said Executive Director Ken Widelka. “A dental association’s promotional marketing doesn’t need to look clinical. There are so many ways to make our materials engaging and our marketing team continues to find creative ways to communicate our message.”
Association TRENDS is an organization that provides association executives and industry partners training, data and insights to help serve their organizations. Celebrating its 44th anniversary, this annual awards show honors the brightest stars of the association community and their commitment to excellence.
The marketing and communications team attended the TRENDY Awards in 2023 as well, bringing home three Gold-level wins. These set the stage for more victories throughout 2023, including a Silver Trumpet Award and eight dotCOMM Awards.
“2023 was a great year for AAE, and it’s inspiring knowing that—with a team like ours—our association will continue to advocate for our members and their patients,” Widelka concluded.
