AAE and AGD Collaborate on Special Issue

The AAE has joined forces with the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) to produce a collaborative November/December 2025 issue of General Dentistry, AGD’s peer-reviewed clinical journal.
This special collaborative issue features three articles contributed by AAE members that focus on evidence-based endodontic practices, advancing interdisciplinary understanding between general dentists and endodontic specialists. The remaining articles in the issue, authored by other contributors, explore clinical advancements and research across the broader spectrum of general dentistry.

Both organizations anticipate that this partnership will encourage greater interdisciplinary dialogue and inspire future joint initiatives aimed at strengthening the connection between general practitioners and dental specialists.

“This special collaborative issue between the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Association of Endodontists highlights that shared commitment to tooth preservation,” wrote AAE President Dr. Steven J. Katz in his editorial letter. “These contributions highlight a key theme: successful endodontic care is never just about what happens inside the root canal. It requires an integrated, whole-tooth perspective, blending surgical precision with restorative foresight.”
